PAUSE, LOOK BACK AND GIVE THANKS

I think its great to look at old photos every now and again, to just take some time out to reflect and give thanks.

So Ally is nine and a half months now. I know, where did all the time go right?

We've come a long way, I look at myself and my daughter and I am so thankful for life, good health and growth.

From barely having 7mls of expressed breast milk, to finishing 240mls at a go and learning to eat solids...we are thankful.

From not being able to drive after my operation and being in so much pain, to struggling for the car with my husband...we are thankful.

From dreading bath time because I didn't feel confident holding her to absolutely loving it now as she pulls herself up in the bath tub and splashes all over...we are thankful.

From spitting all solids out when we started weaning to wanting everything that goes in an adults mouth....we are thankful.

From having a baby who always wanted to be carried to this little madam that wants to fly and is happy to sit and play on her own...we are thankful.

From feeling sad and almost depressed to having an I've_got_this_thing_on_lock_down attitude...we are thankful.

From comparing my baby with every little creature that passes by to celebrating her uniqueness and 'smothering' her with love...we are thankful.

I could go on and on...but i will spare you.lol I look forward to the journeys ahead.

For this week, let's all just pause, reflect and give thanks!

Having been a mum for 9 months now, lol, I feel like I should put this on my CV. I can say that things get easier. Well maybe easier is not the best word to use. As you conquer one stage you receive grace for the next. Sometimes something may happen to disrupt your routine like teething, travel , coughs and colds but overall in my opinion its a progressive journey. If you're having a hard time now at any stage; eating, weaning, bathing, sleeping, playing, health...just know that you have the grace and strength to go through, you are a mother; the epitome of strength. Don't give up, keep at it one day at a time. You will make it! There will always be reasons to worry and be afraid over your child but once you've done the right thing by your child remember YOLO so enjoy!!!

I really really appreciate all the people that take the time to read, like, share and comment on my posts. You all are truly amazing and I'm so thankful for this platform.

I  have some interesting topics lined up for the next few weeks.I was just thinking though that If there are any specific topics anyone would like to cover, I can get in touch with some mums who have been there or do some research and write up a post if it is on something i haven't particularly experienced.
The post on Twins was actually requested by a friend in Nigeria and I thought, 'uh, I know a 2016 mum of twins' so i interviewed her for the blog and it was a great post!

Also just to say has anyone started a new mums club in their local community? How is it going? please let us know.

I really look forward to hearing from you.

Have a fantastic week and remember, Mondays are for Mummys!
