Hi Guys,
Welcome to my blog for new mums and mums to be.
I became a mum for the first time earlier this year.
Its been an interesting journey. I have enjoyed learning from peoples experiences online and I would like to add my voice and stories to the wealth of information out there.

Its an informal blog. I will be writing blogs on my birth experience to some of the day to day joys and challenges I have faced.

One of the things I did when my daughter was almost 3 months old was to create a New Mums Club with some of the ladies in my local community who had babies around the same time as me. We are all first time mums. There's 7 of us in the group and we have a total of 8 babies. We chat via whatsapp and we meet up once a month. Its been great!

Some of the objectives of the group include: Someone to chat with when your baby is awake at odd hours, a place to hand down and receive baby items like nappies or clothes. Share information about products you use and a place to go outside your house when we meet up once a month. Also some mummy objectives like staying fit and healthy, losing that 'mum tum' and balancing family life. Praying for our babies is also one of the objectives of the group and tips on how to pray.  A book I have found very helpful is 'The power of a praying parent' by Stormie Omartian which was recommended to me by one of the mums in our New Mums Club.

I think its great to share experiences with people in similar situations. That way we help build each other up. Why not start your own New Mums Club in your local community. There are also various other groups out there, for 4 weeks my daughter and I attended baby massage and we got to know some other mums and babies in our local area.

Being a mummy can be a lonely time. as your spouse is most likely at work all day and your home with baby. After the Internet, TV, phone, books... sometimes its just nice to connect with real people.

I plan to publish one post every Monday #MummyMonday for the next few months. The Frequency of posting may reduce once I go back to work in about 6 months. I will also have guest posts from other New Mums.

I do hope you find this blog useful, entertaining and inspiring.

Love,
Tabitha.
